My mother, Kay Tarantelli and Lorraine were best of friends from the time they met working at Queensbury High School. I have many of Lorraine's recipes-she was a great cook, as was my mother.
My parents spent great times together with Lorraine and Rod. Their friendship continued after Rod, and then my father Joe died(1997).
I tried to call Lorraine with the numbers my mother had in her address book to update her about mom, but never got through.
Mom died on August 2 of this year at the Pines in Glens Falls, a week before her 96th birthday. She lived there for the last three and a half years, having been transferred from rehabilitation after a fall.
They were the best of friends for probably 50 plus years. Eileen Welden died in May of this year, 2 months before her 102nd birthday.
I like to think that they are together now, making a great meal for everyone up there. My sincere condolences at your great loss.

Jane, I am so sorry for your loss. I loved taking care of her when she was at the Workman Apartments. She will never be forgotten. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.

Such a wonderful lady! She was a friend of my whole family. My dad and her worked for many years at Queensbury Schools. When growing up I remember seeing her everyday at lunch...those were the days! Blessed are those who knew her!
