R. Peter Mochak

Winsted- R. Peter “Pete” Mochak, 76, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Sharon Health Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte C. (Mascetti) Mochak.

        Mr. Mochak was born in Winsted on November 13, 1939, son of the late Ralph and Mildred (Ransom) Mochak, and had been an area resident most of his life. He was a retired steel ball salesman with Winsted Precision Ball and NN Ball & Roller Companies. Pete was a life member of the Winsted Lodge of Elks and was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, card playing, UConn basketball, and Red Sox baseball.

        Survivors, in addition to his wife Charlotte, include a son, Devon Mochak and his partner Michelle Pelletier of Winsted; a daughter, Melissa Lindberg and her husband David of Dudley, MA; three step-children, Charlayne Lefeber and her husband John of Weddington, NC, Teddy Cook of Ft. Mill, SC, and Dawn Linkovich and her husband Lee of Cape Coral, FL; and several grandchildren. Mr. Mochak was predeceased by a son, Jody Mochak; and a step-father, Joseph Victor.

        Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11:00a.m. at Hillside Cemetery Chapel, 76 Walnut St., Torrington. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.

        At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
