My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Tara, Kyle and all the loved ones left behind while Mark makes the next leg of his life journey. Man is born into this world with clenched hands but in death they are open because upon entering this world it is our goal to grasp everything and hold our loved ones close but upon leaving, we take nothing away with us. God bless you all and as long as Mark is in our memories and hearts he lives with us eternally...Amen

I was contemplating whether or not to light a candle for my brother, thinking it might be a little hokey. Then a saw Mark's picture looking back at me saying: "What, your not going to light a candle for me?" and he'd give me "the look" with his raised eyebrow and we'd crack up. Growing up he was my hero, always including me playing sports with his friends and never acted like I was a hindering little sister. This past year and a half we became closer than ever, always laughing. He was not only my brother, he was my great friend and he will always live in my heart. Thank you all for you well wishes and condolences.

We are very sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I remember the wonderful times playing softball in the First National Parking lot behind the Lucas family's home. We used to hit home runs off the billboards and into Mr. Lucas's garden. Mark was always smiling and was so much fun to grow up with in the neighborhood. The whole Lucas family was so special. I used to deliver the afternoon paper there for several years and Mr. & Mrs Lucas were always so very nice to me. Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. God bless Mark and his family. We know he is happy in heaven with our Lord.
