To the Powell family , I am very sorry for the loss of your mother. She was a unique woman. I will remember Aunt Joyce as a person that spoke her mind and probably had the best laugh I've ever heard.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
May God grant you peace, and increase your strength and joy as you come through this difficult time.

The Pastor Robyn Anderson and the Parker Memorial AME Zion Church family of Meriden, Connecticut (USA) extend our deepest sympathy to the Powell and Workman Memorial AME Zion Church family, in the passing of your beloved family member Joyce A. Powell.
The scriptures teach that at death the spirit of the Christian goes to be with the Lord. Paul wrote, “To be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord” (2 Cor. 5:8).
Oh, say “She has arrived!”
And not that “She has gone.”
May every thought of her.
Be in the Land of God
Arrived! To hear His voice
And see His welcoming smile;
And then she greets again
Those she has lost a while.
Arrived! To tread no more
The weary path of pain,
Nor feel the waning strength
The body feels, again.
To be forever free
From the limits love,
In joyful service thus
She now may tireless move.
Then say not, “She has gone,”
Nor think of her as dead;
But say, “In the God’s House
She has arrived” –instead.
It is our prayer that the peace and love of God will dwell in your hearts in this time of your grief and sorrow. We have the assurance that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. We will place the family on our Church prayer list.
