Ann M. (Valigorsky) Perlotto

Torrington- Anna “Ann” M. Perlotto, 84, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence E. Perlotto.

        Mrs. Perlotto was born in Collinsville on December 1, 1930, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Roman) Valigorsky and had been a lifelong Torrington resident. Earlier in her working career, she had been employed by the Torrington Manufacturing Co., Bonvicini Construction, and the Fitzgerald Manufacturing Co. Mrs. Perlotto had been an employee of Stars Department Store for 30 years and was known to many as the “Lady at the Courtesy Desk” at Stars. Ann had been an active communicant of Sacred Heart Church, a member of the Torrington Council of Catholic Women, was an avid reader, and enjoyed baking. She will be remembered for her warm, gentle, and welcoming nature and for her great love and devotion to her family and friends.

        Survivors include four sons, Dr. James M. Perlotto and his husband Thomas Masse of Guilford, David L. Perlotto and his wife Carla of Torrington, Dr. Michael J. Perlotto and his spouse Dr. Craig Burton of Stony Brook, NY, and Atty. Joel D. Perlotto of Torrington, three brothers, John Valigorsky of Westfield, MA, Joseph Valigorsky and his wife Diane of Palm Bay, FL, and Michael Valigorsky of Torrington, two sisters, Catherine Kupco of Torrington, and Veronica Danese and her husband Ray of Medford, NJ, three grandsons, Joseph D. Perlotto, Louis C. Perlotto, and Geoff Burton-Perlotto, and many nieces and nephews.

        The family would like to express a special thanks to Anita Lorwia, who provided excellent care and comfort to Ann in her final days.

        Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:30a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington to Sacred Heart Church, 116 Grove St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00a.m. to 10:30a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
