Torrington- Robert L. Wood, Sr., 50, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington.
Robert was born in Winsted on June 23, 1966, son of Cheryl L. (Haas) Wood of Torrington and the late LeRoy Wood, Jr., and had been a lifelong area resident. He had been employed as a driver with Mountain Top Trucking, enjoyed fishing, and target shooting.
Survivors, in addition to his mother Cheryl, include a sonl Robert Lee Wood, Jr., of Torrington; a brother, Michael R. Wood, Sr. of Odessa, TX; a granddaughter, Vicky Wood; two nephews; and an aunt.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will be private.
