Mildred "Mimi" L. (Laigle) Bauce

Torrington- Mildred L. “Mimi” Bauce, 77, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 57 years of Peter A. Bauce.

        Mrs. Bauce was born in Torrington on August 31, 1937, daughter of the late Albert and Kathryn (Woodilla) Laigle, and had been a lifelong Torrington resident. She had been active in the North School PTO and had been a member of the Sullivan Senior Center.

        Survivors, in addition to her devoted husband Peter, include a son, Peter D. Bauce and his wife Kristy of Steamboat Springs, CO, a daughter, Kerry B. Palmer and her loving companion John Vitali of Torrington, two grandchildren, Sgt. John E. Palmer and his wife Chelsea, and Kaelynn E. Palmer, all of Torrington, four brothers, Albert Laigle and his wife Marie of CA, Edward Laigle and his wife Joan of CO, David Laigle and his wife Charlene of MD, and Kenneth Laigle and his wife Jeanne of Torrington, three sisters, Elinor Coppa and her husband John, Linda Sokolik and her husband Robert, and Holley Pretak and her husband Thomas, all of Torrington, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Richard Laigle and Donald Laigle, and four sisters, Leona Hestad, Betty Revaz, Cynthia Fabbiaschi, and baby Joan Laigle.

        Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10:15a.m. at Hillside Cemetery Chapel, 76 Walnut St., Torrington. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.

        At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Cancer Care, 200 Kennedy Dr., Torrington, CT 06790.
