Torrington- James M. Rivera, 54, died Friday, May 13, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.
Mr. Rivera was born in Torrington on December 17, 1961, son of Vincente Rivera Colón, of Torrington, and the late Mae (Meeker) Rivera, and had been a lifelong Torrington resident. He was a graduate of Oliver Wolcott Technical School, and had been employed in the manufacturing field.
Survivors, in addition to his father, Vincente, include one sister, Carmen Marie Ostrander of Torrington, three nephews, Joshua Rivera, Christian Ostrander, and Tyler Ostrander, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Donna Marie Rivera.
Funeral services will be private.
