Dear Alan and Tim, I am sorry for the loss of your mom. What a charismatic personality from what I remember. I can't remember what the family party it was, but you were going back to I think Washington DC. Your mother and Tim had enthralled me with stories of what it was like to live there. I remember there was quite a bit of discussion about putting me in the car to go back home with you, no luggage, no clothes, I can't remember who actually put the Kabash on it, I think it might've been me. But your mother was encouraging me to come. My sincere condolences, the loss of a parent is a painful emptiness that we really never get over. Jill coyle

Edna was an amazing woman. There was nothing she couldn't do. I first met her when I sold her a house. She had me over for dinner and we talked for hours. I still have the crocheted collar she made for me. A lovely woman who was so proud of her family. What a legacy she left. May you find comfort in remembering her life.
With sincere sympathy, Barbara F.

Sincere condolences from the members of the Women Marines Association. “If the Army and the Navy ever looked on Heaven’s Scenes, they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines.” (3rd stanza of the Marines Hymn). Take comfort in knowing your beloved Marine has left this life to take up her rightful place in Heaven’s detachment.

Alan and Tim, Charlene and I are sorry to hear the sad news about Edna. We have fond memories of our visits to Grant Street many years ago. Have some pictures of the Juan family get together at your grandparents. Unfortunately we are not up to making four hour drives and therefore will not be able to attend the funeral.

Best regards
Jim and Charlene

Edna was a wonderful woman and Marine. I had met her at a Marine Corps League event, and many times after. I enjoyed her stories and lovely personality. She was so excited that her white uniform was still in good condition, and told us that she had donated it to the National Museum of the Marine Corps. We will miss her dearly. May God comfort you in your sorrow. You have my deepest sympathy. Semper Fidelis Edna and Rest in Peace. Love, Elaine Schieffer, New England Division VP, Marine Corps League Auxiliary
