Torrington- Bernadine A. "Bunny" Anderson, 70, died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger H. Anderson.
Bunny was born in Torrington on January 15, 1945, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Tomala) Gontkovic, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a retired phone operator with SNET, retiring with 25 years of service. Bunny was a communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church and will be remembered for her loving devotion to family and friends. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, bingo, and crafting.
Survivors include a daughter, Kristene Anderson of Torrington, three sons, Keith Anderson and his wife Michelle of Audubon, PA, Mark Anderson of Jersey City, NJ, and Scott Anderson and his partner Lynn Sweeney of Jamaica Plain, MA, a brother, Michael Gontkovic and his wife Willie of Torrington, seven grandchildren, Jason Anderson, Crystal Anderson, Brittany Anderson-Buel, Justin Wilcox, Joseph Wilcox, Timothy McQuiller, and Matthew McQuiller, one great-grandson, Aydden Anderson, a special niece, who was like a daughter to Bunny, Lisa Pearson, and many other family members and friends.
Service Arrangements
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will be private. Friends may call Wednesday, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
