Theresa A. (Yusi) Koziol

Torrington- Theresa A. Koziol, 84, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020 surrounded by her family at her home. She was the beloved wife of Anthony P. Koziol, Sr.

          Mrs. Koziol was born in Port Chester, NY, on December 2, 1935, daughter of the late Peter and Yolanda (Gazzigli) Yusi, and had been a Stamford-Bridgeport resident for most of her life, before moving to Torrington 16 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Peter Church of St. John Paul the Great Parish, Torrington. Mrs. Koziol enjoyed her daily hazelnut coffee, classic movies and family time, especially with her grandchildren.

          Survivors, in addition to her husband Anthony, include two sons, Anthony P. Koziol, Jr., and his partner Monica Skrzelowski of Newport, KY, and David J. Koziol and his wife Lisa of Oakley, ID; a daughter, Marie C. Finkle and her husband Clifford of Torrington; 10 grandchildren, and many, many nieces and nephews.

          Services and entombment in New St. Francis Cemetery Mausoleum will be held privately. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Church, Torrington, on a future date and time to be announced. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.

          At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center, 200 Kennedy Dr., Torrington, CT 06790.
