Torrington- Lillian Grace Grosso, 93, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center, Torrington.
Mrs. Grosso was born in Danbury on April 21, 1927, daughter of the late Daniel R. Marcella, Sr., and Grace (Cristaldi) Marcella, and had been a lifelong Torrington area resident. She was a retired Branch Manager with the Brooks Bank and Trust Company, later becoming the Bank of Boston, retiring with over 25 years of service. Lillian had also been a licensed Realtor for over 15 years. In her free time, she enjoyed skiing, gardening, cooking, and reading.
Survivors include three daughters, Judith Arsego Hermenau and her husband Jim of Torrington, Karen Arsego Lesniewski of Torrington, and Lisa Arsego of Harwinton; two brothers, Mario Marcella and his wife Pat, and Richard Marcella, all of Spokane, WA; two sisters, Betty Harris and Rosemary Miller, both of Spokane, WA; three grandsons, Jason Hermenau of Winchester, David Hermenau and his wife Sarah Nilson of Swickley, PA, and Victor Lesniewski of Studio City, CA; three great-grandchildren, Max Hermenau, Zoe Hermenau, and Caden Hermenau, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Grosso was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Diorio, Alice Killeen, Vivian Amodio, Fran Garcia, Arlene Coons, Daniel “Sonny” Marcella, Jr., and Ann Marie Marcella.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11:00a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 31 Oak St., Winsted. Entombment will follow in St. Peter’s Mausoleum, Torrington. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
