Torrington- Gary A. “Heada” Sramek, 68, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at his home.

Mr. Sramek was born in Salina, KS, on August 23, 1953, son of the late USAF SMSgt Albert Sramek and Amelia (Celini) Sramek, and had been a city resident for many years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, working on cars, and loved all animals. He had a passion for singing karaoke, especially Joe Cocker songs.

Survivors include a son, Joshua Sramek and his Fiancée, Jennifer Scanlon, of Wallingford; a daughter, Winter Sramek of Torrington; a brother, Dave Sramek of Thomaston; a grandson, Joshua Sramek, Jr., of Houston, TX; a niece, Danielle Sramek of Torrington; and a nephew, Jeramie Sramek of Clarksville, TN.

Services will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
