Cori Dawn Cass

Torrington- Cori Dawn Cass, 45, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at her home.

          Cori was born in New Milford on August 14, 1977, daughter of Diane (Jessup) Matulis of Torrington and the late Miles Cass, and had been a Waterbury resident for many years before moving to Torrington. She was a manager with Salvation Army Retail Stores before becoming disabled. Cori was an amazing artist and loved couponing. Her greatest joys were her daughter and grandchildren.  She loved cooking and caring for them. Her cat, Angel had passed a year ago, and she still mourned her loss.

          Survivors, in addition to her mother, Diane, include a daughter, Tiana Cass and her partner, Vincent Bianca, of Torrington; two grandchildren, Sebastian and Nathaniel Cass; one grandchild on the way, Isabella Rose Dawn Cass; a brother, David Nuzzi of Winsted; a sister, Kathryn Nuzzi and her husband, Hugo Loureiro, of Berlin; two nephews, Luca and  Leo Loureiro.

          Services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 3:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Friends may call Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00p.m. at the funeral home.

          At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friendly Hands Food Bank, 50 King St., Torrington, CT 06790.
