Arlene J. (Karlins) Koleszar

Torrington- Arlene J. Koleszar, 71, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at her home.

        Arlene was born on June 20, 1949 at Norwalk Hospital, daughter of the late Meyer and Anne (Kazdan) Karlins. She resided in Connecticut for most of her life. She graduated from Berkshire Community College with an Associates Degree in Nursing in 1999, and continued her studies to become a Registered Nurse in 2003. She spent most of her working years as a nurse at RegalCare (formerly known as Paradigm Healthcare as well as Adams House) in Torrington. She was a very caring and generous person. She enjoyed the simple things in her life such as gardening, caring for her lawn, and going for rides in the car with her dog Buddy.

        Survivors include one son, Jesse D. Koleszar and his wife Nicole of Torrington, one brother, Stephen Karlins and his wife Pamela of Monroe, and one sister, Ellen (Karlins) Martin and her husband Leonard as well as niece Marcie Karlins and nephews Matthew Martin and his wife Lauren, Daniel Martin and his wife Lauren, Jason Karlins, and his wife Suzannah.

        Burial will be private. Due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
