Paula M. Thibault

Torrington- Paula M. Thibault, 51, loving daughter, sister, and mother, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Bristol Hospital.

          Paula was born in Hartford on February 12, 1968, daughter of George P. and Carol A. (Scacca) Thibault of Torrington, and was a lifelong Torrington area resident. She attended St. Francis of Assisi School and was a graduate of Torrington High School, Class of 1986. Paula had been a volunteer firefighter with both the Burrville and Harwinton Center Volunteer Fire Departments. A natural athlete, she enjoyed softball, basketball, and bowling, and in her youth, BMX racing. Paula loved campfires and country music, and had a great passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. She adored animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses.

          Paula is survived by a beloved son, William R. Surgeon of Torrington; a sister, Ellen C. Thibault of Rockport, MA, and a brother, Daniel G. Thibault of Torrington. She is also survived by her former spouse, David Surgeon, and dear friend, Robert Sandino.

          Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 12:00p.m at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Thursday morning from 10:00a.m until time of service.
