Patricia A. (Allen) Hart

Torrington- Patricia A. Hart, 88, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter S. Hart, Jr.

          Mrs. Hart was born in Torrington on December 28, 1930, daughter of the late John and Edna (Benedict) Allen, and had been a lifelong resident. She had been a lifelong member of Advent Christian Church, Torrington, and served as church secretary for many years, retiring this past May. In addition to her role as church secretary, Patricia served as church treasurer, deaconess, Sunday School teacher, member of the choir, and a member of the Mission Society. She was a member of the Sullivan Senior Center, enjoyed reading, and was an avid Red Sox fan.

          Survivors include 4 sons, Walter S. Hart, III, and his wife Dianne, Mark A. Hart and his wife Nancy, Kevin R. Hart and his wife Lisa, all of Torrington, and Brian W. Hart and his wife Jane of Lakeland, FL; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hart was predeceased by a brother, Carleton Allen, and a sister, Barbara Connell.

          Funeral services will be held Monday, July 15, 2019 at 11:00a.m. at Advent Christian Church, 217 New Harwinton Rd., Torrington. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington.
