Myrtle N. (Nott) Daley

Torrington- Myrtle N. Daley, 90, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 in her home.

        Mrs. Daley was born in Torrington on September 3, 1927, daughter of the late Ivins and Mildred (Berry) Nott, and had been a lifelong area resident. She had been an Insurance Representative until her retirement in 1989. Mrs. Daley was a an active member of the Harwinton Congregational Church, a member of the Harwinton Women’s Club and the Sullivan Senior Center. She was an avid UConn Huskies Basketball fan, enjoyed walking, reading, movies, and spending time with her many friends.

        Survivors include a son, Frederick Daley of Milton, Delaware; a daughter, Diane Young and her husband Bruce of Torrington; a sister; Cynthia Ockels and her husband Reuben of Milton, Delaware; two grandsons, David Fortin, Jr. and his wife Casey, and Carlo Fasano; a great-grandson, Bryce Fortin; a great-granddaughter, Kendall Fortin; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Daley was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Fortin.

        Services will be held Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 4:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington, will be private. Friends may call Sunday from 2:00pm until the time of service.
