June (Thrall) Kulikauskas

Torrington- June Kulikauskas, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 11, 2020 at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center. Torrington. She was the beloved wife of Albert Kulikauskas.

          Mrs. Kulikauskas was daughter of the late Edward and Fern (Gangell) Thrall, and had been a lifelong city resident. The last surviving child in a family of seven, June was the only child born inside her small family home in Torrington on June 16, 1929. June graduated from Torrington High School and as a young woman worked at the Torrington Company Excelsior Plant. Together with the love of her life, Albert, they made their little house in Torrington a home for nearly seven decades. Following the birth of her first daughter, she became a dedicated stay at home mother, sewing many first day of school outfits, hosting lively gatherings, baking blueberry muffins and creating beautiful flower gardens. 

          June is survived by daughters Denise Bayly and her husband Barry, and Audrey Paczkowski and her husband Leonard as well as her four grandchildren Keri (Chris) Hoehne, Corry (Alissa) Bayly, Amy (Ian) Russell, and Neil Paczkowski and his partner Kyle Morgan. She was also adored by her five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, including her dear niece Jean who spent much time with her and Albert. 

          Thank you to all of the staff at Litchfield Woods who provided loving care for the last fifteen months of June’s life. 

          Services will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00a.m. at First Congregational Church, 835 Riverside Ave., Torrington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. 

          At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church, 835 Riverside Ave., Torrington, CT 06790.
