Irene Kozlak

Torrington- Irene C. Kozlak, 93, died Thursday, January 26, 2017 in her home.

        Miss. Kozlak was born in Torrington on January 11, 1924, daughter of the late Jacob and Veronica (Lauf) Kozlak, and had been a lifelong city resident. She was a retired secretary for the Torrington Company, retiring with over 40 years of service. Miss. Kozlak was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Church, and was a member of Yednota. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and fashion.

        Survivors include an uncle, Francis Lauf of Torrington; a niece, Cathie Coyle of Fremont, CA; a nephew, Robert Coyle of Los Gatos, CA; and several cousins. Irene was predeceased by a brother, George Kozlak, and two sisters, Marguerite Kozlak and Barbara Coyle.

        Funeral services will be held Monday, January 30, 2017 at 9:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to Sacred Heart Church, 116 Grove Street, Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington.
