Eleanor C. (Egliskis) Moran

Torrington- Eleanor C. Moran, 93, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late John P. Moran.

          Mrs. Moran was born in Duryea, PA, on January 19, 1926, daughter of the late Matthew and Mary (Lipinski) Egliskis, and had been a Torrington resident for over 70 years. She was an active and devoted communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church of St. John Paul the Great Parish. Eleanor had been a member of the St. Francis Altar Society and the Council of Catholic Women.

          Survivors include a son, Thomas J. Moran and his wife Judith of Mobile, AL; a daughter, Janet Lang and her husband Patrick of Penfield, NY; 8 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 10:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:00a.m. to 10:30a.m.

          At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Paul the Great Parish, 160 Main St., Torrington, CT 06790.
