Edith Stecewicz Obituary

Torrington- Edith M. Stecewicz, 90, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Ted Stecewicz.

Edie was born in Pine Meadow on October 22, 1927, daughter of the late William and Mabel (Parnell) Caine. She was an avid gardener and loved being with family, friends, and especially her granddaughter, Sara.

Edie is survived by her daughters, Barbara Murphy of Bluffton, SC, Nancy Cicognani and her husband Gary of Harwinton; son, Jim Stecewicz of Winsted; granddaughter, Sara Stecewicz of Prague, Czech Republic; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Stecewicz was predeceased by her son-in-law, William Murphy; daughter-in-law, Paige Stecewicz; brothers, Edward and William Caine; and sister, Mabel Copping.

Services and burial will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
