Edeltraut "Edie" (Nast) Solgovic

Winchester- Edeltraut “Edie” Solgovic, 86, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Winchester. She was the beloved wife of 65 years of Jacob “Jake” J. Solgovic.

          Mrs. Solgovic was born in Germany on May 29, 1933, daughter of the late Ludwig and Mathilde (Wolf) Nast, and had immigrated to the United States in 1952. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and gathering with family and friends.

          Survivors, in addition to her husband, Jake, include a daughter, Sandra K. Jenney and her husband Curtis of Winchester; two grandsons, Eric L. Jenney and his wife Mai of St. Petersburg, FL, and Tyler N. Jenney and his wife Andrea of Clearwater, FL; three great-grandchildren, Piper M. Jenney, Oscar J. Jenney, and Arabella J. Jenney; a sister, Irmagard Pfeander and her husband Harry of Little River, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Solgovic was predeceased by a son, Carl E. Solgovic.

          Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 2:00p.m. at Winchester Center Congregational Church, 1 West Rd., Winchester, with Pastor Jackie Hall officiating. Burial will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
