Torrington- Cynthia Vasko passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 14, 2018. She was the wife of the late Albert Vasko with whom she shared 64 cherished years.
Born in Brookline, MA on February 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ann Arnold. She was a graduate of Brookline High School. She was co founder and partner of the Insurance Center of Torrington, Inc. until her retirement. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Her greatest pleasures were spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren at Sunday lunch and especially our family trips to Disney World. She also enjoyed traveling particularly to Las Vegas, golfing and going out to lunch with her friends.
She is survived by her children, Lynn Valsecchi (Rick), Albert G. Vasko , Diane Libby (Mark), Karen Andrews (Nils) and her grandchildren, her greatest joys Dawn, Erick, Kathleen, Stephanie, Sarah and Ryan.
She is also survived by her sisters Anne Colotti (Pat), Nancy Hardcastle and Diane O’Neill. In additional she leaves her sister in laws, Monica Eschenbrenner and Theresa Dupont (Jerry) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 9:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to Sacred Heart Church, 116 Grove St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
