Bluette H. (Richard) Taty

Torrington- Bluette H. Taty, 96, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Neil M. Taty.

        Mrs. Taty was born in Litchfield on April 14, 1923, daughter of the late Paul and Cecile (Michel) Richard, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a retired salesperson with Howard’s Shoe Store, Torrington, retiring with 26 years of service. Mrs. Taty was a communicant of St. Maron’s Church, Torrington, enjoyed flower gardening and sewing.

        Survivors include a son, Steven R. Taty and his wife Madeline of Santa Cruz, CA; a daughter, Jean A. Taty of Torrington; three grandchildren, Deana Taty-Kasden, Charleen Taty-Scheck, and Susan Taty Hamm; and five great-grandchildren, Coral Kasden, Hayley Kasden, Alexander Hamm, Matthew Hamm, and Micah Scheck. Mrs. Taty was predeceased by a son, Neil R. Taty.

        The Divine Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10:00a.m. at St. Maron Church, 613 Main St., Torrington. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Friday, June 28, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington.
