Albert L. Percy, Sr.

Waterbury- Albert L. Percy, Sr., 85, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at Autumn Lake Health Care Center, Waterbury.

          Mr. Percy was born in Tolland on March 2, 1933, son of the late George Percy, Sr., and Mary (Ormsby) Percy, and had been a Torrington resident for most his life prior to moving to Waterbury. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and had retired from the construction industry. Mr. Percy enjoyed sports, cars, and NASCAR racing.

          Survivors include a son, Albert L. Percy, Jr., and his wife Leyla of Germany; a daughter, Leslie Proctor Hill of Waterbury; a brother, Robert Percy of Jackson, NC; a sister, Lorraine Percy of Waterbury; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Percy was predeceased by a brother, George Percy, and two sisters, Marion Ivery and Dorothy Hall.

          Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 at 12:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial with full military honors will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Friday morning from 10:00a.m. until the time of the service.
