Rudolph J. Dubiel

Torrington- Rudolph J. “Rudy” Dubiel, 84, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in his home.

        Mr. Dubiel was born in Torrington on August 8, 1931, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Ruzbasan) Dubiel, and had been a lifelong city resident. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran, and was a retired electronic technician with the Torrington Company, retiring with over 40 years of service. Rudy was a lifelong active communicant of Sacred Heart Church, and a member of the Legion of Mary. Mr. Dubiel enjoyed horse racing, and visiting the casino.

        Survivors include three nephews, Michael Dubiel, Robert Zbuska, and Joseph Corbo, two nieces, Kathy Zbuska and Christine Bakalos, and several grand nieces and nephews.

        Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at 12:30p.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to Sacred Heart Church, 116 Grove St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00p.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Friday from 11:00a.m. to 12:30p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
