Palm Coast, FL-In the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 18th, 2017, Nancy Jean (Cardillo) Visentin 75, beloved wife of the late Leo Visentin, passed with her daughter by her side. She handled the end just as she did her entire life, with determination and dignity.
Mrs. Visentin was born in Great Barrington, MA on May 8, 1941, daughter of the late Louis and Jeanie (Tracy) Cardillo, and lived in Canaan before her family moved to Torrington. After marrying her true love, Leo, in 1959, she spent a short time in North Carolina before moving to Harwinton where she raised her family. Nancy spent her later years enjoying life in Palm Coast FL.
In addition to raising her family, Nancy worked as an Accountant before becoming a Real Estate Broker and starting Clearview Realty. Nancy was a very intelligent and fun loving person who was a joy to be around for anyone that had the pleasure. She was a loving daughter, devoted wife and wonderful Mother and Grandmother.
Nancy loved the warm weather and spending time at the beach, sitting at the beach reading a book was one of her favorite things. She also loved to play any sort of game and was very competitive. She belonged to a scrabble club and played mahjong with another group. She truly enjoyed those two activities and made some very good friends. Nancy will be truly missed by all.
She leaves behind three children, John (Mary-Lynn) Visentin, Debbie (Greg) Fecteau, and Todd (Joely) Visentin; a brother, Robert (Bev) Cardillo; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Cardillo; five grandchildren Heather, Loren, Bobby, Julie, and Niko; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her beloved son, James Visentin and brother, Thomas Cardillo.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 27, 2017, at 10:00a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to Trinity Episcopal Church, 220 Prospect St., Torrington, for a service at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
