Nancy J. (Marshall) LaGanga

Harwinton- Nancy J. LaGanga, age 72, died on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by her family and lifelong friends. She was the wife of Joseph LaGanga, Sr.

        Nancy was born in Burlington, CT on March 23, 1944, the daughter of the late William C. and Helen (Smith) Marshall. She received a BA from Central Connecticut State University and received a MA from Southern Connecticut State University. Nancy retired as a Supervisor with the State of CT, Judicial Branch, Family Services Unit. Additionally, she was a Guardian Ad Litem, Mediator and Parent Coordinator. She was especially fond of their dog “Molly”, working in her garden and traveled extensively. Nancy had also served in local politics in the Town of Harwinton. 

        Survivors, in addition to her husband Joseph, include two sons, Joseph LaGanga, Jr. and Jodi MacDonald, and Mark LaGanga and his wife Judie McKenna.

        Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 12:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in Burlington Center Cemetery, Burlington. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday morning from 10:00am to 12:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
