Maureen B. (Bosley) Hart

Torrington- Maureen B. Hart, 82, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 62 years of the late David N. Hart, Sr., who passed away August 15, 2016.

          Mrs. Hart was born in Torrington on December 23, 1934, daughter of the late Edward A. and Catherine (Quinn) Bosley, and had been a lifelong Torrington resident. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, was a founding member of the Torrington Pink and Blue Club, and was a passionate UConn Huskies Women’s Basketball fan. Maureen enjoyed vacationing, and loved writing notes and sending cards to family and friends.

          Survivors include two sons, David N. Hart, Jr., and his wife Lesley, and Richard H. Hart and his wife Patricia of Burlington; a daughter, Cheryl A. Herlihy of Torrington; two granddaughters, Erin S. Herlihy and Kristen C. Herlihy; and several nieces and nephews. Maureen was predeceased by a brother, Edward J. “Bud” Bosley.

          Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10:00a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to Hillside Cemetery Chapel, 76 Walnut St., Torrington, for a service at 11:00a.m. Burial to follow in Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
