Germaine M. (Thibault) Dembkoski

Torrington- Germaine M. Dembkoski, 92, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Dembkoski.

        Mrs. Dembkoski was born in Coventry, RI, on June 28, 1924, daughter of the late Alfred and Auria (Isabelle) Thibault, and had been a Torrington resident since 1947. She was a retired housekeeping coordinator at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, retiring with over 10 years of service. Mrs. Dembkoski was an active communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, where she attended the weekly women’s meeting group, helped in cleaning the church, and volunteered at the Thrift Shop. Germaine was an avid reader, especially interested in Biblical history and architecture.

        Survivors include three daughters, Pearl Barber of Hot Springs, SD, Carol Stevens of Winsted, and Jeanne Kelly and her husband Kevin of Torrington, one sister, Jeannette Jauch and her husband Christian of Louisville, MI, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dembkoski was predeceased by a son, Harry Dembkoski, two brothers, Paul Thibault and Henry Thibault, and one sister, Irene Heacox.

        Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18, 2016 at 11:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00p.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30a.m.
