Garrett Mitchell Neumann

Torrington- Garrett Mitchell Neumann, 27, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017, at his home.

        Garrett was born in Holyoke, MA, on January 19, 1990, son of Scott M. and Jody L. (Foote) Neumann of Torrington. He was a resident of Chester, MA, before moving to Torrington in 2004. Garrett was employed as the assistant superintendent at Fairview Farm Golf Course in Harwinton, CT. His dog Autumn, a loyal sidekick, joined him daily on the course. He had a passion for travel and was a big outdoor enthusiast, hiking and visiting 48 of our 50 states. Garrett also enjoyed skate boarding, music and trains. He loved his family and friends deeply and cherished time spent with them.

        Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his sisters, McKenzie L. Neumann and Cassidy C. A. Neumann, both of Torrington; his paternal grandparents, Bruce C. and Judith A. (Savage) Neumann of Westfield, MA; his maternal grandparents, Robert C. Foote of Torrington and Carol E. M. (McCall) Wellspeak, of Westfield, MA; two aunts, an uncle, and several cousins.

        Services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 3:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will be private. Friends may call Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.

        At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations in Garrett’s memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
