Elvira (Crivellaro) DalPozzol

Torrington- Elvira (Crivellaro) DalPozzol, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Damiano DalPozzol.

          Mrs. DalPozzol was born in Padova, Italy, on December 21, 1919, daughter of the late Eugenio and Luigia (Falcaro) Crivellaro. After spending her youth in Italy, she moved to Torrington shortly after the Second World War, when she married Damiano DalPozzol in 1950. Elvira embraced her new life in the United States. As a homemaker, she was devoted to her family and friends, and enjoyed entertaining with her love of music, art, and conversation. Mrs. DalPozzol was a talented seamstress, an avid reader, gardener, excellent cook, and enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Damiano. Elvira was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church and had a loving devotion to her Catholic faith.

          Survivors include a son, Dino J. DalPozzol of Torrington. She was predeceased by her five siblings; three brothers, Bruno, Guliemo, and Oreste, and two sisters, Ofelia and Carmella.

          Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at 9:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 E. Main St., Torrington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
