Torrington- Elizabeth M. Lapinsky, 98, died Friday, July 1, 2016, at Valerie Manor, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Lapinsky.
Mrs. Lapinsky was born in Torrington on September 19, 1917, daughter of the late Rynold and Elizabeth (Duplain) Flamer, and had been a lifelong city resident. Elizabeth was a dedicated volunteer at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for 39 years. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a member of the Columbiettes and the Torrington Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include cousins, especially Elaine Fadoir and her husband Michael of New Hartford and their family, who were very close to Elizabeth.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 15, 2016 at 10:30a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
