Carolyn L. (Davis) Gluz

Torrington- Carolyn L. Gluz, 76, died Friday, December 30, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Thomas A. Gluz.

        Mrs. Gluz was born in Torrington on November 17, 1940, daughter of the late Donald and Katherine (Schultz) Davis, and had been a lifelong city resident. Carolyn truly enjoyed being a homemaker and was devoted to caring for her family. She had also worked as a paraprofessional at the Torrington Middle School. Carolyn was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Torrington.

        Survivors, in addition to her husband Thomas, include a son, Michael Gluz and his wife Debbie of Torrington; three daughters, Kelly Henderson and her husband Michael of Sterling, VA, Kristin Chisholm and her husband Christopher of Farmington, and Kathleen Poynton and her husband David of Lexington, MA; eleven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

        Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 9:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
